OHZ Remote Guarding has been awarded the UL Certification, declaring that we are an Underwriters Laboratories Certified Command Center that meets or exceeds the minimum standard requirements for video monitoring services and remote guarding via command and control.

OHZ is one of less than a handful of companies to hold such a certificate on the east coast. To obtain this recognition we expertly demonstrated the active management of security events and subsequent engagement, including handoff and tactical support to law enforcement. This was done in real-time via command center-based agents executing command and control over our client sites.

Further, UL Certification is a designation that recognizes OHZ for maintaining the highest standards in active management of our central station and equipment as well as maintaining a comprehensive DR plan (disaster recovery plan) and the deployment of the most advanced security software.

TMA Five Diamonds is the leading association that both promotes and defends the interests of the professional monitoring industry. A TMA Five Diamond designation is an elite award granted annually to monitoring centers that satisfy all of the requirements of the five points of excellence:

1. Commitment to random inspections and quality criteria standards by a nationally recognized testing laboratory such as FM Approvals, Intertek/ETL and UL.
2. Commitment to the highest levels of customer service
3. Commitment to ongoing job-related education and testing by having 100% of its central station operators certified using the TMA online training series.
4. Commitment to raising the industry standards through TMA membership and participation in its activities.
5. Commitment to reducing false dispatches

The TMA Five Diamond Certification is an integral part of compliance training. The entire OHZ team undergoes periodic recertification demonstrating our commitment to maintaining competency. Our regular recertification ensures our operator’s skills and knowledge are up-to-date on the regulations and rules that are essential to our industry.
